| Situated minutes from The Oracle shopping centre, Khukuri has been providing authentic Nepalese and Thai dishes to the good people of Reading for the last 18 years. The extensive menu divides into Nepalese and Thai dishes. Nepalese Starters include Golden Lady, prawns wrapped in rice pancake (£4.95) and Momo, Nepalese steamed chicken or lamb dumplings (£4.50). Chefs specials include the elaborate Everest Chicken with 17 different herbs and spices, K2 Chicken with pistachio and coconut or Katmandu Chicken with aubergine and special sauce all at £6.95. Seafood dishes include Ameelo Jhinge Macha, shrimps in a sweet and sour Nepalese sauce. Vegetarians have a dozen or so dishes to choose from like Kalo Daal, black lentils cooked “village style” (£3.20). Alongside this is are Thai curries and noodle dishes including vegetarian options. |
