Set in a luxurious health spa and hotel, a meal at the Vineyard in Stockross in Berkshire is sure to be a relaxed and indulgent experience.
This two-level restaurant is exquisitely decorated and the eagle-eyed will spot a tiny poppy motif on everything from the fine glassware to the carpets and curtains. The daily-changing menu is teamed with four wines, so the responsibility of selection is removed from your shoulders. However, the a la carte menu could also prove tempting with dishes such as Steamed fillet of John Dory, honey and chilli glaze, Jerusalem artichoke or Slow cooked breast of poulet noir, foie gras and confit leg terrine, glazed Swiss chard and light truffle jus. If you have room, pear shortbread or passion fruit, banana, rum and raisin pannacotta might cause you to loosen your belt. |
